Dr. Richardson studies the forest-atmosphere exchange of CO2, water vapor and energy using the eddy covariance approach. In addition to his work at Howland, he is also the lead investigator of the northern hardwood AmeriFlux site at the Bartlett Experimental Forest in the White Mountains, NH. His interests include modeling, leaf-level physiology, and the application of optical methods to study leaf and canopy properties.
